Step by Step

1

Trim dark Chelsea Green flowered paper to 4.5 x 6.5 inches. Matt and layer onto first black and then red textured cardstock, leaving a narrow border in each case. Add a white hand drawn line detail to the red border.

2

Draw a line round the base layer of the decoupage using a sailor glue pen. Allow it to dry until clear and tacky. Sprinkle green glitter onto the glue, adding a touch of red later to give a multi coloured border.

3

Matt and layer the decoupage base as in step 1, also adding the hand drawn detail to the red layer. Attach to the Chelsea green panel just above centre using 3D foam.

4

Wrap Anita’s Black Spotted Ribbon just below the decoupage base. Tie Radiant Red organza over this leaving a bow just right of centre. Now attach the section completed so far flat to the front of the card.

5

Layer up the additional segments of the decoupage.

6

Matt a 'Happy Christmas' Glitter Sentiment onto black card and trim to leave a narrow border. Attach to the card to the right of the organza bow. Add three green adhesive stone stars under the message as shown and add a red stone centered mini flower punched from black textured cardstock.

7

Matt the “Sparkle” glittered tag and snowflake die cut embellishment onto black card, trimming both to leave a narrow border. Tuck the tag just under the top left corner of the decoupaged image as shown and add a mini red adhesive gem. Following the picture as a guide place the snowflake panel just underneath the tag but over the decoupage base, decorating it with a mini black flower centered with a red adhesive gem.

8

To complete the design add a row of red adhesive gems to the bottom right of the image to balance the placement of the ‘sparkle’ tag. Sprinkle further adhesive gems on the snowflakes, holly and bow centres on the present and embellish the girl’s shoes and poinsettia brooch and hair decoration.

Hi there! My earliest memory of crafting is sitting with my Nan embroidering when I was tiny. Since then I’ve enjoyed cross-stitch, knitting, & a multitude of paper-crafting techniques. I have been making cards for years but really became hooked when I was introduced to heat embossing. I’ve been addicted to paper, brads, ribbon, stamps, beads, wire…. ever since! I’m really looking forward to meeting you to show you what you can achieve with all the wonderful products available to you!
