This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Cut a piece of leather cord 40cm long and add a clasp to one end. (Supplied in the same pack as the leather cord).

2

To make the hanging mop leaves, thread one leaf onto gold beading wire (approx 16 cm long) - join the wire together at the top of the leaf and thread both wires through a crimp bead, a wooden spacer bead, then a copper bead. Thread the wire back through the beads and crimp leaving a loop at the top. (This loop will be used to thread the leaves onto the leather cord.) Crimp your bead shut with flat nosed pliers. Cut off the excess wire. Repeat this 5 times.

3

Cut 13 pieces of leather cord 12 cm long. Knot two pieces of leather around the main necklace by folding in half – placing the folded cord under the necklace leaving a small loop to catch the long ends when you wrap them round to the front. Thread on one of your leaves and repeat twice.

4

Add one leaf and one leather cord and one leaf then two cords and one leaf then repeat this twice ending in two cords.

5

Fasten another clasp to the other end to finish using flat nosed pliers to seal the leather inside the clasp supplied.

6

Trim the leather knotted cord with scissors for a neat finish.
