Step by Step

1

Thread each of 7 head pins with a seed bead, a leaf bead and another seed bead. Turn the end of the head pins to a loop.

2

Cut two strands of the black cord to measure approximately 60cm. Thread on a head pin to the centre of both strands and tie in a knot securing the head pin in place.

3

Tie a knot about 2.5cm from the first. Thread on a head pin and tie another knot about 1cm further up the strand.

4

Tie another knot 4cm from the last and thread on a headpin. Tie another knot 1cm further up. Repeat.

5

Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other half of the necklace.

6

Trim the cords if needed so the necklace is your chosen length. Add the cord fastener to both ends of the cord to finish the necklace.

7

To make matching earrings, simply add another beaded headpin onto an earring wire.
