This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Step by Step
1
Trim a 1cm frame measuring 21cm by 23cm. Paint a rough area of Linen paint offset to the left of the purple spot paper from the Happy Birthday To You collection a little bigger than the frame. Allow to dry and glue the frame in place.
2
Trim the floral Black and Gold collection paper to measure 15cm by 20cm. Trim the right hand edge with the border punch and glue in place inside the frame.
3
Die cut the largest and the middle doorplate die sizes from one of the paler Black and Gold papers. Cut the same size shapes from some scraps of cardboard box and glue to the reverse of the paper shapes to add dimension. Ink the edges and doodle a border with a gold gel pen.
4
Sand the edges of three 7x10cm photos. Arrange the large die-cut shape on the left hand side with the photos across the page. Add the smaller die-cut to the top right of the photos.
5
Pop out one of the die-cut borders from the Happy Birthday To You collection and position across the page under the photos.
6
Paint the large flourish with Linen paint and allow to dry – chipboard dries nice and fast as it is quite absorbent! Adhere to the right hand side of the page as shown.
7
Secure a length of the Cousin lace ribbon across the page with staples at either end. Add a further scrap of lace to the top left of the page.
8
Use cardstock alphabet stickers to spell out your title to the bottom of the photos. I used the canvas letters from Papermania Birdsong and some of the red Cranberry and Apple Capsule collection letters coloured over with a brown permanent pen before applying to a scrap of cream cardstock.
9
Die cut the smallest bookplate shape from a scrap of dark red cardstock. Layer onto paper and cut out. Add the date with the Winter Wonderland cardstock stickers and a white gel pen. Add to the page using 3D foam pads.
