Step by Step

1

Create the background by lightly spritzing red and brown mists on the bottom half of the white cardstock base.

2

Tear up small pieces of the patterned papers and adhere in a line about 1/3 of the way up the page.

3

Tear the top and bottom off a 'postcard' die cut and adhere side by side. Stitch along this horizontal line of torn papers.

4

Cut out elements from the patterned papers and add around the postcard border, with a few at the top and bottom of your page to balance it out.

5

Die cut some gears from grey paper and glue these across the central border. Cut out the person from your photos and add centrally.

6

Make your own washi style tape by laying sticky tape over some of the patterned papers. Lay the strips in water until the paper can gently be rubbed off, leaving the print on the clear tape. Attach a few strips of these randomly around your page.

7

Using 3D foam pads, assemble the decoupage hot air balloon, using twine as the ropes. Add this to the top right corner of your page.

8

Finish by attaching metal embellishments, a title, and by stitching around two opposite corners of the page.
