Step by Step

1

Take 2 3x2” photos and distress the edges. Cut a strip of green cardstock just a little wider than the photos on either side and about 2” longer at the bottom. Distress the edges to reveal the white core.

2

Adhere the two photos leaving the wide border at the bottom. Tie two ribbons below the photos. TIP: I stick them to the back of the cardstock before tying in order to get better tension for the bows.

3

Cut a strip of yellow cardstock that is just a little wider than the green all around. Distress the edges and stick the yellow and green cardstock together. Add three flower gems to the bottom and set aside until the rest of the layout is complete.

4

Take a sheet of red/gold A4 patterned paper. Ink with brown chalk ink and adhere to brown cardstock approximately 1” in from the left hand side.

5

Draw round a plate to create a circle on orange paper. (TIP: In order to get a wider circle on my page I actually had two parts of circles which have the effect of being one. The gap is hidden by a patterned paper strip. ) Ink and adhere to the page.

6

Cut a 2 ½ “ strip of yellow/gold paper, ink and adhere vertically across the circle. Cut a 1” strip of stripy paper, ink and adhere on top of the yellow/gold strip.

7

Cut a rectangle of yellow gingham paper (approximately 4x3”). Ink and adhere to the left of the strip on top of the circle.

8

Cut two narrow strips of the green and yellow cardstock. Ink and adhere across the bottom 1/3 of the gingham paper.

9

Adhere the photo mat across the papers covering most of the patterned paper strip.

10

Make a frame from the yellow/gold paper (TIP: I traced round an unusually shaped label lying round on my desk. Look out for other things to draw round to create your own unique frame) Trace and cut out the shape again from thin card or a cereal packet for extra sturdiness and dimension. Stick them together.

11

Take a scrap rectangle of the gingham paper. Trim to fit inside the frame, round the corners, ink and adhere. After journaling, adhere to your layout on the left of the photo mat, with foam pads.

13

Punch a circle from green cardstock and a slightly smaller one from the gingham paper. Ink and stick together. Stick an orange glitter flower brad through a red and a yellow paper flower and the circles, to adhere them together. Add a button on the top. Adhere to the top right of the photo mat with foam pads.

Add your title with green cardstock letter stickers. Finally, add tiny buttons around the circle
