Step by Step

1

Cut six lengths of black cotton cord approximately 30cm each in length.

2

Remove the additional hanging loop from the large square metal accent charm, sanding down any rough edges if necessary.

3

Fold one length of cord in half. Push the looped end from the back of the charm through one of the open sections of the cross in the centre and pull the two loose ends back through the loop to secure. Repeat on the two adjoining open sections

4

Attach three more lengths of cord as previously, so that they lie directly opposite those from step 3.

5

Working on one side of the charm first, plait the pairs of cord until the plaited section is 7cm in length. Cut the cords.

6

Add a cord crimp to the end, holding all lengths securely within.

7

Repeat steps 5 & 6 on the opposite side of the square metal charm.

8

Thread a large holed teal glass bead over the cord crimp on each side (you may need to squeeze the sides of the cord crimp just a little so that it is narrow enough to pass through.

9

Attach a trigger clasp on one side of the wristband and an extension chain on the opposite side.

10

Complete the design with a small metal charm on the end of the extension chain.

Hi there! My earliest memory of crafting is sitting with my Nan embroidering when I was tiny. Since then I’ve enjoyed cross-stitch, knitting, & a multitude of paper-crafting techniques. I have been making cards for years but really became hooked when I was introduced to heat embossing. I’ve been addicted to paper, brads, ribbon, stamps, beads, wire…. ever since! I’m really looking forward to meeting you to show you what you can achieve with all the wonderful products available to you!
