Step by Step
1
To get a layered shabby chic look, tear the edges carefully of the papers you have chosen for your layout. The papers in this collection are double -sided so you can use the front or back to create different looks.
2
Ink all the edges of the papers.
3
The first two layers were glued down flat onto the cardstock. The third layer was torn into in a v-shape and eyelets added with the Crop-A-Dile tool. It was then stuck to the page with 3D foam tape to raise it up a little and twine was threaded through the eyelets to finish.
4
Glue the picture to the raised mat.
5
To create the strip across the layout for the journalling cut a piece of card 12 x 2 inches and using the BasicGrey Precision set gently rough up the edges and then roll them to show the back of the paper and add dimension.
6
Add the sticker element to the bottom of the journalling strip and glue underneath the picture.
7
To create the title, lay the chipboard scroll onto paper and draw around to get the shape - cut out the shape from the paper. Glue this behind the scroll, then add the letters of the title.
8
Add journalling with pen and add the bird to look like it is flying away from the torn paper.
