Step by Step

1

Working with the stepper card in landscape orientation cut festive green card 0.5cm smaller in dimension than the back section of the card and trim garland Christmas Tidings 0.5cm smaller again. Before matting together roughen the edges with a craft knife blade and age with brown ink. Attach inside the card blank. Do not worry if the craft knife cuts into the paper as you do this – it will naturally add to the shabby feel of the card.

2

Repeat the techniques used in step 1 for the front section of the stepper card, this time using the red snowflake paper. Before attaching to the front of the card using 3d foam, wrap hemp cord round the panel lengthways and secure at the back.

3

Trim gold foiled “Christmas Tidings” script paper to 13cm x 9.5cm and distress as before, once again layering onto a slightly larger piece of festive green card stock. Attach this to the front section of the stepper card so that it sits centrally overall.

4

Distress poinsettia toppers and arrange as shown on the foiled panel using different sizes and 3d foam to add perspective. Shape the leaves for added dimension. Glue hemp cord loops at regular intervals emerging from underneath the flowers.

5

Make up dimension baubles and adhere to the card as shown. Add gold Glitterations Shimmer Dot.

6

Gluing a trio of small jingle bells to the top right corner of the central panel, using hot melt glue. Top with mini red adhesive stones.

7

Distress a foiled Happy Christmas sentiment tag and attach using the photograph as a guide. Add a hemp bow with a jingle bell centre as shown.

8

Finish the design with a row of small red Shimmer domed stickers to the top left of the front section of the stepper, balancing with a similar row to the bottom right on the back section of the card. Add a final touch of sparkle by using dark gold glitter glue around the edges of each panel and on the poinsettia toppers.

Hi there! My earliest memory of crafting is sitting with my Nan embroidering when I was tiny. Since then I’ve enjoyed cross-stitch, knitting, & a multitude of paper-crafting techniques. I have been making cards for years but really became hooked when I was introduced to heat embossing. I’ve been addicted to paper, brads, ribbon, stamps, beads, wire…. ever since! I’m really looking forward to meeting you to show you what you can achieve with all the wonderful products available to you!
