Update 2012:-Born in Warwickshire, moved to Staffordshire when I married in 1966. Now full time carer for my husband who was diagnosed with Alzheimers 7 years ago. He now has a memory span of just two minutes and needs 24 hour care. Most days are bad days but we manage. It is great when we can laugh together.July 2012. My husband is now in a nursing home as his disease has advanced and he needs more professional care than I can give. So sad but as a family we have to do what is in his best interests.
