DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Trim glitter vellum to measure 22.5cm by 27cm. Ink the edges with Frost white ink and layer onto Fuchsia Fizz cardstock and trim to leave a border all around. If you want to be extra frugal, work out where your photos will go and only use the panels of vellum and cardstock where they will be visible.

2

Glue centrally onto the ledger kraft cardstock. Prick a border all around the perimeter of the kraft cardstock using the pokey tool.

3

Sand the edges of three 6x4 photos in a sequence and arrange across the centre of the page.

4

Staple pink ribbon across the page at the bottom of the photos. Sew running stitch along a length of green gingham ribbon. Pull the thread to gather gently and use the glue gun and a staple at either end to adhere in place to the right of the page.

5

Position some paper flowers to either side of the page as shown and add a pearl to the centre of each using the glue-gun.

6

Wrap the wires of some Petal Posy flowers around the handle of a narrow paintbrush (or similar) to make a coil and glue several in place among the paper flowers.

7

Apply your title using alphabet stickers in the white space of the photos over to the right hand side.

Scrapbooking satisfies my daily need for a creative outlet, it complements my other loves, photography and my Newfoundland dogs perfectly!
