DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Trim a piece of the pale pink card to measure 8" by 8". You can use the off cuts for the stamped titles later.

2

Trim a piece of the pink floral paper to measure 16.5cm wide by 18cm tall. Ink the edges using the pink inkpad and stick towards the right hand side of your page using the EZ runner.

3

Trim a piece of the designer paper with the wide stripes to measure 13.5cm wide by 11cm tall. Ink the edges and position to the left hand side of the page using the photograph for placement guidance.

4

Mount your photograph (mine measures 12.5cm by 9.5cm) onto white card and ink the edges. Add to your page.

5

Stamp your title using a different font for each word. I have used a pale pink ink on the pink card for a subtle effect so that you eye is drawn to the photograph. Trim, ink the edges and layer on white card with inked edges. Stick to your page, mounting one of the words on 3D foam pads and at angle.

6

From the fuschia card punch one of the small flowers, one of the large and 5 of the tear drop shapes. Repeat using the pale pink card. Stick the contrasting tear drop shapes to the rear of one of the large flower shapes add a contrasitng mini flower on top and a fuschia gem stone to finish. Repeat to creat a second flower. Add to your page.

Scrapbooking satisfies my daily need for a creative outlet, it complements my other loves, photography and my Newfoundland dogs perfectly!
