DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Cut out a large black and white wintery photograph. Mount it onto lilac card and cut out at a slight angle (ink the edges up with a deeper coloured brush marker). Repeat this process of cutting out and mounting onto colossal blue 'let it snow' paper, blue sugar paper and then white card. However, the white card should be cut straight.

2

Glue the photograph to the top centre of navy 12 x 12inch card. Down the left side of the layout, apply blue wavy sticky ribbon and lilac stitched sticky ribbon.

3

Attach a silver metal snowflake to a vintage paper circle, mount onto blue 'let it snow' paper and cut out. Repeat this process once more to attain two snowflake embellishments.

4

For the words, use Rub Ons and a black brush marker for doodling. Stick to pale blue, silver, white and a brush marker (used in Step 1) for inking up edges. I have altered sizes and processes so that each word looks different.

5

Arrange the snowflake and word embellishments on the layout. Stick them down when they are all straight.

Hi my name is Louise and I'm one of the do crafts photographers and also a designer. I believe that crafting is good for the soul as it is totally absorbing and takes you away from yourseIf, plus its lots of fun! I hope to pass on my enthusiasm for card making and scrapbooking at my demonstrations and I am happy to help with any photography questions you may have.
