Step by Step

1

Cut acetate to 15cm x 30cm and fold in half to create a 15cm square card. You need to crease it well with the paper creaser to make the card stand up well.

2

Cut a strip of green patterned paper to 8cm x 15cm. Distress the edges of the paper, then curl them over. Stick onto the card using the tape runner.

3

Cut red patterned paper to 7cm x 14cm and distress the edges as is step 2. Tear the bottom corner to an angle creating a white edge. Stick this panel onto the top of the green paper. Place two brads into the bottom corner under the torn edge.

4

Stick the snowflake stickers onto the front of the card around the paper panels, cutting some of them in half and placing along the edges. Place a silver brad into the centre of each snowflake.

5

Cut a rectangle of white card to 6cm x 10cm. Using the jade and wisteria chalk inks, stamp the swirls around the edges of the card. Use the same inks to stamp four poinsettias, mixing the inks onto the stamps to create shadows.

6

Curl the edges of the petals using your fingers, and stick two flowers together using the 3D glue dots. Finish the centre of the top flowers with the adhesive shimmer dots. Place these dots around the swirls too if you wish.

7

Place the flowers onto the card to find the position for your greeting. Ink up the greeting in the same way as you have coloured the flowers and stamp in place.

8

Attach the poinsettia onto the front of the card using the 3D glue dots.

9

To finish the card, you can also cut a piece of white cardstock 7.5cm x 14.5cm and stick to the inside of the card to write on.

Hi. I'm Jo and I'm delighted to be a designer for 'do crafts'. I have been crafting for many years, my interest starting with cross stitch and continuing onto card making around 5 years ago, recently being able to have some work published and winning competitions. I started with the shoebox of goodies like everyone does, and this has gradually taken over my house. I love card making and scrapbooking and can't wait to give you all an insight into crafting.
