DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Using the template (available in the downloads section), cut the trees shapes from a folded piece of Papermania cardstock. Align the left tree to the fold and overlap slightly at the ground and tree top to create the spine of the shaped card. Cut out from both layers of the card.

2

Using the crimping tool, crimp a piece of brown wood grain paper for the tree trunks. Cut to shape after crimping. Cut another for the end of the tree branch stump. Ink the edges in dark brown ink.

Cut the leafy paper for the tree tops and attach to the card. Ink the edges in dark green. Decorate around the edges of each with a green dashed line.

6

Apply die-cut creatures, toadstools and a wooden post from the die cut kit and attach a greeting to the top for ‘That’s Great News’. Position the smaller creatures around the bases of the trees.

7

Add a ‘new baby’ greeting to the right tree and surround with die cut leaves and an acorn.
