Step by Step

1

Cut a piece of silver card slightly smaller than the card blank, trim a piece of Daisy & Dandelion patterned paper slightly smaller than the silver card and stick both to the card blank.

2

Cut a piece of the Core'dinations cardstock with a green core. Emboss using the Quickutz Flowers embossing folder, using a paper scuffer sand most of the white off the flowers to reveal the core colour beneath. Cut the card to approximately 3.5 x 12 cm and mat onto silver card. Stick this to the bottom half of the card.

3

Attach a strip of white organza ribbon over the embossed card and add the silver outline border sticker to the ribbon as shown.

4

Stamp and emboss the Squeak stamp onto white card using the dark brown ink pad and clear embossing powder. Watercolour using Papermania Brush Stroke markers. Cut out and layer on to your card using 3d foam pads.

5

Take a large white flower and use a craft knife to enlarge the hole in the centre, cut slits just a little down from the end of each petal (approx 3mm and about 1cm wide.) Cut a piece of green organza ribbon and adhere one end to the back of one of the petals using double sided tape. Thread the ribbon up through the slit in the petal and down through the centre of the flower. Continue threading the ribbon up through each petal in turn and down through the centre and when finished trim the end and secure to the back of one of the petals using double sided tape.

6

Using the small punch in the Brad making kit, punch a circle of paper with a daisy in the middle from the left over Daisy & Dandelion paper. Use this to make up the smallest brad from the set, following the instructions on the packaging. Use the brad to attach your ribbon flower to the card as shown.

7

Finally embellish the top right corner of the card with shimmer dots.

Hi I’m Liz, married with 3 children aged 10, 5 and 2. I have been crafting since my school days, mainly cross stitch and needlecrafts. Then, about 2 ½ years ago I saw a paper crafting show on a TV shopping channel – I sat there thinking “I could do that”, so I ordered a starter kit and have never looked back! I find it’s a great way to relax after a day chasing the kids around and I love that there is always something new to learn. I look forward to meeting you all at ‘do crafts’ events.
