Step by Step

1

For the Card - Cut gingham boysenberry patterned paper to measure 13 cm square and mount onto black cardstock and fix to a white square card blank.

2

Trim flower patterned paper also from the boysenberry pack to measure 10cm square and mat onto black cardstock, leaving a narrow border. Prick around the edge using a piercing tool. Fix a length of ribbon to the card, tying with a bow to the top of the ribbon, or use a premade bow. Adhere to the centre of the card using 3D foam pads.

3

Cut white Core’dinations cardstock to measure 12.5 x 4cm and mount onto black cardstock. Fix to the card as shown using 3D foam pads. Use letters to spell ‘thank you’ centrally.

4

Cut 4 x 5cm squares and 2 x 4cm squares of patterned paper, and round the corners on each. Draw a spiral onto the squares and cut using scissors. Begin to roll the spiral from the outer end towards the centre to form a tight coil, then let it spring open. Stick together using a hot glue gun, then fix onto the left and right of the panel as shown, using 2 x 5cm and 1 x 4cm rose on each side. Apply a button and adhesive pearl to the centre of each flower to finish. Finally add a hand drawn line around the greeting panel to finish.

5

For the box Lid - Cut white cardstock to measure 6 cm larger than the card. (in this case the card is 13.5cm square, so my cut white card is 19.5cm square. Using the Xcut scoreboard, score using box 1 around all four sides.

6

Cut a triangle from each of the corners, then cover the box with patterned papers. To make the flower embellishments, take one of the long petaled flowers and cut three petals from it. Then stick the two petals at each edge to make a smaller shaped flower. Layer up with another flower and add a button and adhesive pearl to the centre. Repeat for all six flowers.

7

Stick the lid together using a glue gun and finish with foam alphaminis. Use a circle punch to cut a semi circle from two sides of the lid.

8

For the box base - Have the same size cardstock as the lid, then trim 2 – 3mm from one side of the length and one side of the width, make up as the lid from thereon.
