DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Cut a piece of the pale blue card to measure 29.7cm square, round one corner and stick flush with the bottom right hand corner of a brown base card sheet. (You can gut the hidden portion of the brown card to use later.)

2

Cut a piece of the bright orange card to measure 29cm square. Round the corner and stick flush with the bottom right hand corner of the page.

3

Draw and cut a curvy 'L' shaped piece of orange, blue and brown card so that they are graduated in size. Stick flush with the bottom right hand corner of the page.

4

Round the corners of a 15cm by 20cm photo, Layer onto white and brown cardstock, rounding the corners of each layer. Position onto your page but do not stick down yet.

5

Add the orange, brown and blue sticky ribbons across your page behind your photograph. They do not need to extend all the way behind your photo so just add the sections where they would be visible and save the rest of the lengths for another project. Stick down your photo on top of the ribbons.

6

Stamp 'BEST' onto pale blue card. Punch out each letter using the circle punch. Add inside a metal frame and add to your page. Add 'DAD' using the metal tag letters.

7

Use the 'wood' letter tiles to spell out appropriate words to describe your dad!

Scrapbooking satisfies my daily need for a creative outlet, it complements my other loves, photography and my Newfoundland dogs perfectly!
