DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Cut 1” x 11” strips of green paper and ¼” x 11 ½” strips of red paper and distress the edges

2

Staple the strips of paper to the layout in a ‘frame’ around the edge as shown

3

Stamp the baubles with clearsnap ink and cut them out. I used two different inks on the stamp to shade them and give the illusion of dimension

4

Take a 6” x 4” photograph and mount onto a rectangle of red cardstock at an angle, adhere it to the bottom left of the paper frame on your layout

5

Use the tree shaped ribbon packaging to create an embellishment by wrapping some braid around it to resemble tinsel around a tree. Adhere to the right of your photograph using dimensional adhesive and top with a cardstock star and a Doodlebug Jewel.

6

Punch a hole in the top of each of the baubles you stamped earlier and tie some ribbon or braid through each of them to make a bow. Stick these to the layout at the bottom right of the photograph

7

Add a title using Doodlebug alphabet stickers and some red strips using a white gel pen to write your journalling.

8

Finish the layout by painting some white acrylic paint around the edge of the cardstock.
