Step by Step

1

Take the Vanilla Cream cardstock and use this as your base, remember to distress the edges of all your paper pieces with the ink pad.

2

Using various patterns from the V&A Paper Pack, choose two and layer these on top of each other, leaving about a half inch border.

3

Choose another two patterns and cut two circles, one measuring approximately 7.5 inches across, the other about 5.5 inches.

4

Apply a strong adhesive tape along the edge of the reverse of the larger circle, over half of the circle.

5

Cut lots of 4.5 inch lengths of raffia and attach to the tape, apply to circle to your layout.

6

Apply more tape to the front of the circle at around 2 inches in from in the edge and fold over the raffia, sticking it to the tape. Leave some stay upright as a fun feature.

7

Cover the tape and rough raffia edging with the smaller circle.

8

Run the edge of your photo through a die cutting machine using the Scrollwork die and back with cardstock and a patterned paper, stick this to your layout. Also try using the scrollwork design as a mask to decorate the cream cardstock backing before sticking the photo down onto it. Just dab lightly over the scrollwork with a ink pad and then move the photo slightly so the design is visible.

9

Using Core'dinations cardstock, die cut the title, trailing flourish, and the butterfly base, using an alternative patterned paper for the wings background and body. Try backing the title alphas with a toning cardstock to make them more prominent on your page.

10

Apply to the layout and finish off with some Petals and adhesive stones.
