This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Step by Step
1
Take two of each of the second size, third size and fourth size black pearls and four of the dark red glass beads and thread an eye pin through each, turning a loop on the opposite side.
2
Using two pairs of chain nose pliers, open the fifth link of the chain and detach. Do this again on the third link eight times until you have eight smaller pieces of chain for threading between the beads.
3
Thread the two loops of the largest black beads to either end of the five link piece of chain and secure the link, making sure both sides of the link meet up snugly. This is the centre piece of the necklace.
4
Attach a three link piece of chain to the opposite side of the black bead on both sides of the necklace.
5
Attached the first dark red glass bead to the other end of the three link chain on both sides of the necklace. Continue in this pattern until all beads and chain are attached.
6
Make up to the desired length by attaching sufficient chain to both sides of the necklace. I have used seven links in the example. Attach a jump ring to one side of the chain and a lobster claw clasp to the other side to fasten the necklace.
7
Using two chain links, attach the feathers pendant to the centre link of the five link piece of chain on the centre piece of the necklace made at step 2. Thread an eye pin through two of the smallest black beads and attach each to a piece of chain, one four links long and one five links long. Attach these two to the centre piece of chain on either side of the feathers pendant.
