DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Select 3 patterns from the Blueberry A4 Capsule patterned paper pack (I picked a delicate leafy floral, a spotty design and the stripe design).

2

Cut a scalloped border from the stripe paper. You will need a length of 27cm so join two parts together to make the border. Ink the edges and then glue towards the bottom of your page on the right hand side.

Cut a scalloped border from the stripe paper. You will need a length of 27cm so join two parts together to make the border. Ink the edges and then glue towards the bottom of your page on the right hand side.

4

Trim the spotty paper to measure 5cm tall. Tear the right hand edge so that it measures 22cm long. Ink the cut edges and position above the leafy strip, tucking the edge of the spotty paper behind.

5

Apply two lengths of the aqua toned gingham ribbon from the Blueberry collection across the page as shown. Staple in place on the left hand side and fold to the reverse of the page and secure with glue on the right hand side.

6

Position two photographs (one portrait and one landscape) onto the page, tucking the bottom edge of the landscape orientated photo behind the top piece of ribbon and applying the portrait picture over the ribbons. Add a matching ribbon bow to the left hand side.

7

Apply your title using the Capsule Blueberry alphabet stickers and letters cut using the ‘Rome’ Xcut alphabet die and the Big Shot machine.

8

Add a row of buttons along the top edge of the portrait photo with a bow at the right hand end of the row.

Scrapbooking satisfies my daily need for a creative outlet, it complements my other loves, photography and my Newfoundland dogs perfectly!
