Step by Step

1

For the outside of the card Take a 12” square sheet of white Papermania scalloped edged cardstock and trim off the scalloped edge at the left hand side. Cut a 13.5cm width of card, leaving the scalloped edges to the top and bottom of the card. Score the cardstock as per the dotted lines on the template and fold.

2

Cover the bottom panel with blue snowflake paper cutting around the edges of the scallops with a craft knife or scissors. Trim a 5 x 13.5 cm panel of red polka dot cardstock and fix to the top fold, leaving the scallops exposed. Put to one side.

3

Stamp the Forever Friends Santa Claus Stamp using black ink and clear powder and colour using Vivid inks and the watercolour technique. Apply Doodlebug Lily white crushed velvet to Santa’s hat and coat using a glue pen. Cut out. Cut a small circle from white core’dinations cardstock using the X-Cut shape cutter and fix the bear onto the circle using 3D foam pads. Draw a ‘snow flurry’ to the bottom of the circle as shown and apply crushed velvet using a glue pen.

4

Stick a Papermania silver snowflake to the right of the card as shown. Fix the Santa circle to the snowflake using 3D foam pads. Add a dotted border to the edge of the circle as shown.

5

Stamp the greeting using two different colours of ink and emboss using clear powder. Trim and punch a hole. Take a length of white ribbon and loop around the whole card and use silver cord (taken from the Anita’s Foiled gift tag set) to attach the greeting to the ribbon. Tie the ribbon in a knot. The ribbon can then be untied or slipped off to reveal the inside of the card.

6

Inside of the card. Trim a piece of white cardstock to measure 12.5 x11.5cm and mount onto red polka dot cardstock measuring 13 x 12cm. Stick to the centre panel of the card. Cut a panel of blue snowflake paper to measure 3 x 11.5cm and mount onto the reverse of the red polka dot cardstock leasving a small border. Use the off cut scallops as a border to either side of this panel. Stick to the left of the card as shown.

7

Stamp the greeting onto white cardstock using black ink and clear powder and trim. Mount onto red, then blue then red polka dot card leaving a small border each time. Stick to the bottom of the panel. Stamp the small bear to the right side of the card as shown using black ink. Finally, add a dotted border to the greeting panel.
