DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Take a tall blank white card & decorate horizontally. Cut 5 hearts at 7.5cm tall by 4.5cm wide, in different patterned papers & ink edges in red ink.

2

Attach 3cm lengths of thin black ribbon to the back bottom of hearts.

3

Now stick the hearts to top of card slight higher than the fold, & each at a slight angle as shown. Also the first third & fifth hearts have one layer of 3D foam pads, but the second & fourth have double layered pads so as to stand out deeper.

4

Now tear a small strip of coordinating paper just over 2cm wide, ink the torn edge in red ink & stick to bottom of card, making sure to stick & hide the bottom of ribbons, trim edges to fit as shown.

5

Wrap black ribbon around the torn strip & secure on inside of card, now tie three small knots of ribbon to right hand side as shown.

6

Finally Matt a greeting label with red card & fix with 3D foam pads to bottom left as shown, & ink all edges of card in red ink.

Hi I’m Mandy & a craft obsessive. This sad plight has lead me to dedicate much spare time to the pursuit of the ‘perfect card’. Anyway, back on track… I have been a ‘do crafts’ designer for a few years now & love to show everyone how fantastic all our products are, I look forward to seeing you at your local ‘do crafts’ event soon. Happy Crafting
