DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Cut a piece of yellow card the same size as the back of the base card. Line the inside of the card with the coloured card.

2

Using a sheet of acetate provided in the aperture cards, glue wavy lines of molten hot melt glue vertically down it. Allow to completely cool. Tip: If you have trouble drawing these freehand, you could always draw your design on spare paper first and then place your acetate sheet over the top and trace the design.

3

When cool, place the acetate sheet inside your aperture card and seal the inside flap. Glue a large pale yellow star into the centre of the card and a smaller bright yellow star on top.

4

Add yellow sticky ribbon a few millimetres away from the top and bottom edges of the card. Tip: To ensure a straight line, draw faint pencil guidelines first at an even distance from the edges. Apply the ribbon following this line.

5

Add mini gold ‘Happy Birthday’ stickers to the bottom right of the card, just above the sticky ribbon.
