Step by Step

1

Trim a semi circle of purple card with a diameter of 15cm. Use the embossing folder to emboss a heart pattern all over (you’ll need to do half of the shape at a time. Sand some of the raised areas lightly. Pierce a border all the way around and add a white pen border to resemble stitching. Ink the edges lightly with the purple inkpad.

2

Fold white card to make a tent fold card blank measuring 15cm by 8cm. Glue the semi-circle in place with the flat edge against the spine of the card. Trim the card neatly to the edge of the semi-circle shape.

3

Trim a thin slice from the bottom of the back of the card to make the card stand up straight.

4

Apply spotty ribbon across the semi circle and trim flush with the edge of the card.

5

Assemble the decoupage image and add some doodle lines around the bottom layer. Layer onto green card measuring 8.5cm by 8.5cm. Position as shown and glue in place.

6

Pierce a border around the sentiment panel and add a line to represent stitching using a white gel pen. Layer onto contrasting cardstock.

7

Coil some wire around a thin object like a paintbrush. Sandwich one end between two epoxy shapes securing with a little silicone glue. Secure the other end of the wires behind the sentiment panel with more silicone glue.

8

Adhere the panel in place with 3D foam pads

9

Punch several leaves and flowers. Arrange around the bottom left corner of the decoupage along with some silk and paper flower buds. Add an adhesive stone to the centre of each punched flower.

10

Add a matching ribbon row to the right hand side and top off with a fancy brad.

11

Add a little glitter glue to each of the punched flowers and leaves and to the background of the decoupage so that the water appears to shimmer.

Hi there! My earliest memory of crafting is sitting with my Nan embroidering when I was tiny. Since then I’ve enjoyed cross-stitch, knitting, & a multitude of paper-crafting techniques. I have been making cards for years but really became hooked when I was introduced to heat embossing. I’ve been addicted to paper, brads, ribbon, stamps, beads, wire…. ever since! I’m really looking forward to meeting you to show you what you can achieve with all the wonderful products available to you!
