Good advice even though I haven't got the cutting machine :-( but I use that rubbery stuff for loads of things. B&Q do it in black but I have loads of it in different colours. One roll will make 4 place mats for garden tables and breakfast bars etc. Cut into circles and those Christmas coaster plates don't slip on a polished dining table. Machine washable too. Especially useful for wrapping around the lid of a reluctant screw top jar/bottle. It's the best 'gripper' there is. As you can tell, I'm a fan.
