DOCRAFTS CREATIVITY MAGAZINE ISSUE 33 MAY/JUN 2012

This issue we feature a delightful collection from Lucy Cromwell by Papermania, off ering all the cups of tea, cake and bunting you will need to set the scene. And just to prove how versatile this range is, you can also find it in our ‘Wedding Special’ feature and used to make a Father’s Day card in our ‘make a Father’s Day card’ challenge! Our ‘Wedding Special’ feature also includes jewellery for the bride and a charming idea to hold onto those precious memories of the big day!

Step by Step

1

Randomly apply pink dotty stickers over the centre section of the blank card

2

Cut a 4cm strip of pink stripped paper, ensuring the stripes go horizontally. Glue to the bottom edge of the card and trim excess paper at edges.

3

Cut a 7.5cm strip of pink stripped paper, ensuring the stripes are vertical. Glue to the top edge of the card and trim excess paper at edges.

4

Cover the raw edges with a length of pink sticky ribbon. Add gold swirl stickers along the top and bottom edges of the card.

5

For the title panel, place pink alphabet stickers onto spare pink card to spell 'funky Diva'. Cut to a rectangle and mount onto gold card. Trim around leaving a slight border of gold showing. Mount onto your card using 3D foam dots.

6

Apply three dress stickers to spare pink card, with 'Tres Chic Dresses' underneath the row of dresses. Cutto a rectangle approx.5.8cm x 5.5cm and again mount onto spare gold card. Attach this piece to the card, so it overlaps the dotty section and patterned paper, using 3D foam dots

7

Cut two short lengths of matching pink sticky ribbon and finish the ends to a pretty 'V' shape. Stick these to the centre of the lower horizontal ribbon to form the 'tails' of the 'Best Friend' layer.

8

Create the 'Best Friend' panel, by applying the sticker to pink card. Trim around and mount onto gold card, leaving a slight border of gold showing around the edges. Place this section onto your card with 3D foam dots. Ensure the ribbon 'tails' are central to this layer.
