1.     First, measure the circumference of the inner part of the plate, from the centre to the start of the edge. Transfer the shape onto a large piece of brown paper using a compass and cut the shape out.

2.     Next, stick small pieces of double-sided tape closely together around the edge of the plate, leaving the middle area uncovered. 

3.     Place the pre-cut circle onto the plate so that the edge is completely covered. 

4.     Now it’s time for the spray. Firstly, make sure your work surfaces are well covered. Shake the can well and spray the blackboard paint onto the inside part of the plate at a distance of 20cm. Once completely covered, leave to dry for at least one hour. 

5.     Carefully remove the brown paper along with the sticky tape. Your plate is now ready to be decorated with your creative chalk message!
