Fussy-cut Mum card

Whether it's her birthday, Mother's Day or you just want to show your appreciation, Mum will love this bright and beautiful, fussy-cut card.

1. Cut an 8 x 8'' card blank down to 5 x 7'' and trim a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller. Attach a panel of white funky foam to the reverse of the cardstock, making sure that it’s not quite as big as the panel. Stick to the card front with double-sided tape.

2. Die cut parts of the floral panel die from several different colours of cardstock; picking enough hues to make a nice arrangement. Cut small pieces of cardstock and lay on each  ower to save having to cut the entire panel out multiple times. Take each die-cut and fussy cut the flowers, shaping petals as you go.

3. Arrange the flowers on the card front, distributing the colours evenly until you’re happy with the positioning. Group the leaves in little clusters around the edges. Carefully glue them in place one at a time, applying the adhesive in the centres to allow the edges to subtly flick upwards.

4. Stamp the sentiment ‘For you’ just below the flowers, using the folk alphas stamp set. Use the Xcut Wedding Alphabet & Numbers Die Set to cut ‘Mum’ from white cardstock. Mount in the centre with 3D foam squares, positioned on top of the die-cut flowers. Choose a few different coloured gems and adhere around the design.
