Printed notebook

30 Jun, 2017

For a quick and easy project, why not download a paper pattern to make your own personal notebook?

1. Create an account on to get your hands on free downloadable papers. If you are a docrafts Club member, you can get your hands on a brand-new design in advance every week!

2.  Print your selected paper design onto white cardstock, making sure it is printed in the correct orientation for the style of your notebook. If you would like the inside to be patterned, print again on the other side of the cardstock.

3. Trim the cardstock down to remove any white border left from printing; this is your front cover. Measure the cover then cut some A4 plain paper to the same size. Fold everything in half and pop the A4 paper inside. Hold with clips and staple three times along the spine. Do this by popping holes through the spine with a pin in the desired places and threading the staple through. Do not close the prongs of the middle staple yet.

4. On the front cover, mark the position for your fastener and pierce with a Papemania Capsule Elements Wood Brad. Cut a piece of twine long enough to loop all the way around the book. Take the centre of your twine and place around the brad, then thread through the middle staple. Close the prongs. Wrap around the back of the book and tie the twine in a bow around the brad.

5. To finish, round the corners with an Xcut 2 in 1 Corner punch.
