Spoon plant markers

Upcycle your old wooden spoons so that you never forget what you’ve got growing.

1. Prime three spoons with Winsor & Newton Clear Gesso, then paint with Artiste Acrylic Paint in Princess Pink, Buttermilk and Tea Pink.

2. Lay a wooden spoon onto the back of a sheet of vellum from the Papermania Freshly Cut Flowers A4 Ultimate Die-cut Pack and trace around the top in pencil. Trim and fussy cut to fit the back of the spoon. Repeat using two other vellum designs.

3. Use a shiny and matt gold Xcut Xtras' A5 Adhesive Foil Sheet and the copper sheet from Xcut Xtras' A5 Thin Metal Sheets to die cut the plant name with Xcut Mini Die Serif Alpha sets. Cut a small 5mm strip in each sheet and adhere around the middle of the spoon, lining it up with the 2 end of the vellum sheet on the back of the spoon. Finish off by coating the spoons with a layer of gloss.
