String art scrapbook layout

When you are documenting a trip, it can be tricky to capture the full journey but the travelling is just as big a part of the experience as the destination! Use the art of string to ensure you record every footstep.

1. Choose a couple of papers from the Papermania In Bloom 12 x 12'' Paper Pad that coordinates nicely with Papermania’s Freshly Cut Flowers Brads. We’ve gone for blue stripes and a light pink paper with brush marks. Rip the papers length ways so that you have two strips that can go across the width of the layout.

2. Print out a map of your desired location and transfer onto complimentary coloured cardstock. Mark the key spots you visited with a pencil and pop various coloured brads through. Connect them up with Papermania Bare Basics Natural Jute, this bit can be fiddly but take your time and try to make sure the twine is tight.

3. Die cut your title using Papermania Kraftstax and the Xcut Wedding Alphas & Numbers A5 Die Set. Start with 'Hello' followed by the country your scrapbook layout is themed around. Adhere a single piece of twine going across the page then pop the title of your country on top with Stick it! Mini Foam Dots. Add the 'Hello' above and slightly to the left.

4. Mount your photographs onto white card, then onto kraft, fix to the layout with foam pads. Place embellishments around the images from the Papermania Bare Basics Travelling Wooden Shapes. Paint the wooden shapes in co-ordinating colours using Artiste Acrylic Paints.
