A little birdie notelet

A little birdie told us that Xcut Large Dies are the perfect tool when whipping up a quick card; and with this combination of a sweet sentiment and filigree design, what could be better? One die cards needn't lack technique or thought… why not layer different papers to create a textured shadow effect?
1. Cover the front of an A5 cardblank with Mr Smith's Workshop paper. Die cut the Xcut A Little Birdie Large Die from red and white cardstock, offsetting the red beneath the white to create a shadow effect. Adhere both die-cuts together with 3D foam pads.
2. Create a white rectangular aperture just larger than the die, and use this to frame the die-cut. Cut 'A little birdie told me' and mat onto red cardstock.
3. As a final touch, fill in the sentiment using a black pen.
