This elegant card was inspired by the song ‘Black and Gold’ and uses the Marie Curie Limited Edition 2009 Clear Stamps with embossing techniques. Don't forget if you're donating cards for the Marie Curie Campaign they must be A6 size to fit the card bags!
Place the large flower stamp onto an acrylic block and ink it up in pigment ink, stamp onto sturdy black card and heat emboss with gold sparkle embossing powder. Repeat the technique to create five large flowers. Cut all out and apply Anita’s 3D gloss to the petals of each flower. Leave to dry thoroughly.
For the vase, randomly stamp the heart in pigment ink all over sturdy black card and heat emboss in gold. Cut to a vase shape, following the template and using 3D gloss all over for a highly glazed effect. Leave to dry.
Stamp the mini flowers in pigment ink and emboss in gold. Repeat for four flowers and cut out.
Cut a piece of white card 13cm x 19cm, mat onto black, then white and black cardstock before gluing centrally onto an A5 white card.
Outline the edge of the top layer with gold line outline sticker. Cut the stickers at the corners to a 45° mitre for a neat finish.
Place all the embossed pieces roughly where you would like them positioned on the card. Then one by one stamp and emboss the flourishes in gold, removing the embossed pieces as you go each time.
Wrap a length of gold line outline sticker around the base of the vase. Stamp and heat emboss another small flower and cut out. Attach to the vase band with foam dots. Add a pearl stone to the centre of the flower. Attach the vase with foam dots.
Attach all the flowers with foam dots, overlapping many of the flourishing vines. Add pearl stones to the centres of the flowers, using large ones for the larger flowers and small ones for the mini flowers.
Apply two lengths of gold outline stickers below the vase (approximately 7cm and 8cm long) Add an outline sticker greeting.
