Framed scrapbook layout

Papermania's Bare Basics collection is the ultimate embellishment go-to when organising a scrapbook layout. Combine Bare Basics frames with Forever Friends papers and vellum for the ultimate rustic and patterned combo.

1. Lay out the Bare Basics wooden frames on the pages, testing out different placements and combinations. We opted to mix a square and a rectangle on this design, leaving us with a second rectangular frame for a later spread.

2. For your left-hand page, select a Forever Friends Opulent die-cut to act as a journaling panel – making sure that it’s big enough to fit the frame. Layer co-ordinating papers below to make stripes (this can fill any missing space). Stick in the centre of your page and fix the rectangular frame on top. Fussy cut some rectangles to stick in the right-hand corner and stamp ‘Memories’ with Rose Pink Artiste Acrylic Paint and script alphabet stamps.

3. Colour your square frame with the same pink paint and back with patterned vellum. Cut two strips from strong cardstock and fold in a concertina style before attaching to each side of the frame. This turns it into a pocket with enough depth to store photos and ephemera, and adds dimension to the layout. Adhere to the right-hand page.

4. Embellish the whole spread with vellum hexagons and triangular gold stickers, creating little clusters in opposite corners. Slip any photos into your handmade pocket and finish with some journaling
