Geometric Mocha hexagon card

Posted by TheDocraftsTeam, 18 Apr, 2016

Hexagons are most definitely the shape of the moment. With Xcut’s Nesting Hexagon Dies and fashionable Geometric Mocha papers, it’s so easy to stay on-trend. Treat someone with this patterned card, perfect for any occasion.

1. Cut a 14 x 7cm strip of brown cardstock and a 10cm square of pink. Adhere to the front of a patterned Geometric Mocha 6 x 6" card blank with Anita’s Tacky Glue. 2. Cut a white square, a little smaller than the pink, and glue on top. Die cut two patterned hexagons using the smallest nesting die. 3. Trim a white hexagon frame with the smallest and second smallest dies. Keep the middle of the die-cut for later and lightly ink the edges of the frame. 4. Glue the hexagons to the white cardstock. Adhere some foam tape strips to the back of the hexagon frame and overlap the patterned papers. Stamp a sentiment on the spare white hexagon die-cut and stick inside the frame. 5. Trim a die-cut border to size and attach down the side of the white square. Tie and stick a small bow from co-ordinating ribbon. 6. Add a handful of embellishments to the top and bottom of the card to finish. Project, how-to instructions and photography by PDT member Kieron Franklyn (docrafts gallery @Kieronscraftycorner).
