New home decoupaged house

Posted by TheDocraftsTeam, 13 Mar, 2017

Create this swift and simple greetings card to congratulate those moving into a new home. Simply pop your message on the back or craft this delightful cottage as a decoration for your own home. It's perfect for hanging on the wall with an added little twine.

1. Pop out the first die-cut piece of the Anita's Valentine’s Cottage Foiled Decoupage Sheet and fussy cut around the edges, leaving just the house shape. Use this piece as a template to create a house-shaped card blank, drawing and snipping around the edges to achieve the right shape.

2. Follow the numbers on the sheet to build up layers, using 3D foam pads between each layer. (If you wish for certain smaller layers to be flatter, use a Sailor 2 in 1 glue pen).

3. Make a ‘New home’ sign from a small scrap of white cardstock, stamping the letters with the Wedding Ever After 5 x 5" clear stamp set. Add a length of twine at the back, and tie two tiny knots to stick on the front. Use the loop of twine to hook onto the garden gate.

Project and how-to instructions by Jackie Jasper. Project origionally published in the November issue (76) of docrafts Creativity magazine.
