No-sew felt boxes

If you want your gift to truly stand out, combine cardstock with felt to add a touch of luxury to the present unveiling, before the recipient has even seen what's inside! For this project, you won't need to battle with tape or even a sewing machine, and our handy template will ensure a no-fuss wrap.

1. Print the box lid and base templates from the sidebar (or on page 95) on a sheet of A4 paper, making sure the square of the lid is a few millimetres bigger in size than the square of the base. Cut them out, then place them on a sheet of cardstock. Draw around them and cut out.

2. Next, place the lid and base templates on a sheet of A4 felt and draw around them again, but this time omitting the flaps. Cut out, glue the felt to the cardstock pieces and leave to dry.

3. Using the template as a guide, score along the inside lines of the base of the box and flaps using a paper creaser. Fold the fl aps, then glue them to the insides of the base and hold with some mini wooden pegs until they have dried. Repeat with the lid of the box.

4. Cut out some felt flower pieces in a contrasting colour to the gift box with Xcut flower dies. Glue the felt flower pieces to the lid of the box and leave to dry.
