Rocker Card Tutorial | Papermania Folk Floral

Posted by StickerKitten, 20 Jul, 2015

This simple rocker card is easy to shape and adds a fun new dimension to the jolly ‘live love laugh’ sentiment as it wobbles side to side! The sentiments would be perfect for a whimsical anniversary card with a little extra personalisation. Steps: 1. Take a square card blank, tent fold, and use a compass, circle cutter or something large to draw round to shape the bottom. This allows the card to rock when stood up! 2. Draw round the card blank on to yellow floral paper to match the shape and then trim it a little smaller and mat to the card. 3. Punch two scalloped borders from taupe polka dot paper and attach behind a strip of blue paper with double sided tape. Attach to the card, across the centre. 4. Wrap a length of twine round the card a few times and tie the ends in a bow on the front. Tuck a small square of patterned paper behind the twine, on the left. 5. Build up the ‘live love laugh’ decoupage with foam squares and attach to the right of the card. 6. Use beading wire to make little ‘lollipops’ with the ‘especially for you’ sentiment and small blue flower circles. I coiled the end of the wire to make a loop and then attached a foam circle to the loop and the circles on top. Attach another foam circle on the back to sandwich the wire loop and fix them to the card. Curl any exposed wire at the bottom so it’s not pointy. Attach a ribbon bow on top.
