Simply Gorjuss

The acetate adds a different texture to a layered card that uses stamps, palm punches, ribbons and lace to give this fabulous little girl an inviting card to sit upon.

  1. To the top of the card attach a strip of purple ribbon from the free pack that came with Issue 44 of Creativity Magazine. Overlay a strip of lace from Vintage Notes and to that, adhere the scalloped edging from The Fox decoupage pack, ensuring it is scrunched and distressed on the un-scalloped edge.

  2. Cover an 8x6” cream card blank using the black/purple bordered paper. Attach a distressed large strip of green polka dot paper to the right and die-cut an aperture using the second largest of the Xcut Easter Egg nesting dies, through both papers.

  3. Print the corner flourish from The Fox stamp set twice onto pink/grey paper and cut one out, putting the other aside. Ink the edges lightly. Stamp the leaves onto the same paper and also trim. Attach to the corner of the card as shown, using 3D foam dots on the leaf images.

  4. Stamp butterflies onto acetate and allow to dry fully. Once dried, colour the butterflies on the reverse side using Artiste Dual Markers and glue over aperture. Overlay a section of the starry pink/grey paper, so it appears the butterflies are flying in the night sky. Punch butterflies from various papers, fold in half and glue to edge of aperture.

  5. Using the spare stamped image from step 2, die-cut the floral corner and secure over the lace and ribbon. Attach the clock bottle topper and a stripy bow to the corners and heat emboss the Gorjuss sentiment using holographic powder. Shape into an arch and tuck under the corner of the bottle topper.

  6. Cut out the small clock and mushrooms from the packaging and secure in place. Finally, stamp the paperchain onto pale blue paper and cut out. Finally, ink the edges of the chain and attach in place.

  7. Add 2 small strips of the alphabet craft tape to the bottom left and attach the decoupage Gorjuss figure over the edge of the aperture. Trim a bow from the packaging and finish with a green adhesive gem.
