Upcycle one of the truffle boxes you got for Christmas using the Sew Lovely adhesive fabric, Bare Basics alphabet tiles & lots of lovely trims and buttons to create a little holder for a mini album or notebook

  1. Cut a piece of fabric slightly larger width and height of the box lid. Carefully press it around the width. Cut ‘tabs’ into the top overhang so you can smooth it onto the top of box & trim the bottom flush.

  2. Die cut a large circle out of the fabric & add to the top of the box.- first cutting a slit where the ribbon handle is & feed the ribbon through it.

  3. Repeat this for the inside- cut the top of the inside flush, and add the tabs under the bottom of the box. Add a circle of cardstock onto the bottom. Add trims & buttons for interest. Using the wooden tiles, add word to the lid using adhesive dots & cover each letter with Glitter glue. Allow to dry fully.

  4. Trace around the outside of the inner box to give you an idea of how big to make the ‘shelf’ for the inside. Add 2-3cm around this tracing and carefully emboss and trim tabs so when the tabs are bent down, you create a ‘shelf’ that slots into the inside. Add some adhesive lace onto the inside of the inner box.

  5. Die-cut some medium circles out of cardstock. Decorate each side. Attach together with craft tape to make ‘hinges’. Punch through a hole & add some ribbon to secure circles together. Stamp out the sentiment using typewriter stamps, punch out & add to the mini album.
